ABOUT US

Newtownbreda Baptist Church was founded 60 years ago, as a small group of believers met in an upper room at the Inns Shops and began to pray over the Newtownbreda Area.

The church met for many years on School Road, and then moved location to Newtownbreda Road back in 1979. Today Newtownbreda is known as a church full of life, and it seeks to be a church that loves Jesus first, going deep in our relationship with him, and wide in our impact for God.

• Belfast as a city has been known all over the world for its divided past - We believe that God has placed us in this community and city "for such a time as this".  
• We dream of a day when this city is reconciled to God and the activity of God in this city becomes headline news across the world.
• We believe God can, and will, use the local church to impact the city and that indeed "greater things are yet to come in this city".
