WHAT ARE PODS?

At NBC, we are passionate about encouraging healthy and life-giving relationships within our membership and with our friends in the community. 

PODs are gospel-centered friendship groups that are focused on caring for one another, sharing the gospel and encouraging each other in our faith journey. COMMUNITY PODS

In a fast-moving world, we can find it increasingly difficult to feel connected with church. This is especially the case when we face health or other issues. Community PODs are set up by the Pastoral Care Team to help us stay in regular contact with our friends and members, communicate needs and prayer requests and to offer friendship and encouragement for everyone involved. We have found that Community PODs are a great example of ‘body ministry’, where everyone has a genuine and vital role in supporting each other!

CONNECT PODS

What’s your passion? Running? Cross-fit? Good coffee? Discussing Books? Art and Craft? Tapas?

Connect PODs are a great way of making new friends whilst sharing an activity that you enjoy. They are also an authentic way to share your life and faith with those who haven’t yet met Jesus. Enjoy time with like-minded people whilst providing a vital connection from the church to the local community. The opportunities are endless!

NURTURE PODS

At different stages in life, we all face challenges that benefit from the understanding, support and encouragement of friends. These are people who understand from their own experience what we are going through. It might be during early parenthood, a family crisis or living with a health issue. Nurture PODs are provided by the Pastoral Care team as part of a wider strategy to help you grow in your relationship with God and to care for you through the tough times. It’s our prayer that as you are supported by friends in similar situations, you will find that God will use you to encourage and help them, and that you can use what you have learned on the next stage of your journey.

REFRESH PODS

Refresh Pods are the new prayer triplets at NBC - a tried and tested way of building accountability, support and encouragement with trusted friends who pray together regularly.
